Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Coaching 

Cognitive hypnotherapy is not a singular method of therapy. We use very light hypnosis to underpin treatment for incorporating a range of evidence based techniques that help people to solve their problems. This means that I can offer each person who comes to me a personal service tailored to to what best suits them and their needs. ‘One size fits all’ does not apply because we are all unique. No two people will receive the same treatment, even if they have the same problem.

Hypnosis and Trance

Hypnosis and light trance underpin what I do and here’s why. Multiple times a day we enter into light trance, think of it like daydreaming: driving, commuting, cooking and so on. It’s a very natural state, so natural that we even enter into this state when we are doing our our problem (triggered) – phobia, bad habit, thought pattern, mood, negative behaviour and so on. We can use this trance state to understand what is going on for you in your unconscious and work out how to remove your problem, using the techniques listed above.


It might be helpful to think of it as ‘de-hypnotsing’ you out of involuntarily repeatedly re-entering a problem state that is causing you discomfort or unhappiness.

In our work we look at your learning style, thought patterns, memories and feelings associated with your problem and aim to change them to something more helpful to you.
